El presidente de Venezuela, aseguró ayer que la fallida incursión marítima que frustró su Gobierno tenía como “objetivo central" asesinarlo.

Colombia y EE.UU. han sido acusados de estar detrás de la operación, llevada a cabo presuntamente por "mercenarios y exmilitares.

Asimismo, el régimen de Maduro anunció el despliegue de 25 mil soldados para capturar a los implicados, entre ellos supuestamente una persona con DNI peruano.

“Una acción de mercenarios, un golpe contra la institucionalidad de nuestro país”, afirmó el presidente de la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente (ANC), Diosdado Cabello.

En las lanchas capturadas "hay una serie de documentos, se observa allí un documento peruano, por ejemplo, de una persona”, señaló Cabello, quien añadió que se incautaron teléfonos satelitales y armamento “de altísimo calibre”.

Oficialmente hay ocho muertos y dos detenidos. “Cuando ellos llegaron a la costa hubo enfrentamientos y no sabemos si hay gente que se hundió o nadó hasta otro lado, por eso decimos que hasta el momento hay ocho fallecidos”, dijo.
